PIKE ELECTRONIC spol. s r.o. was founded in 1991 as a Company providing complex service in the field of software application development. Nowadays the Company is one of significant IT companies in the Czech Republic and has more than 100 experienced software analysts and developers. PIKE is certified partner of ORACLE, Hewlett-Packard, TIBCO and MICROSOFT. The Company is ISO 9001:2001 certified.

PIKE´s business strategy is to focus on Name Accounts, which means to focus on customers finding and establishing strategic business partnership. Due this strategy, The Company has several long-time contracts. In foreign countries the The Company participates on project as the Prime Partner for leadings market players in the field of machinery and metallurgy (e.g. Siemens, SMS Demag, ABB, Mitsubishi, etc.).

The Company world-wide participates on extensive projects cooperating with partners as Siemens AG (GER), Siemens E&A (USA), SMS DEMAG (GER), TIBCO Software GmbH (GER), Hewlett-Packard (CZ), Accenture (CZ) and Oracle Czech (CZ). Those projects are realized in USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Holland, Finland, Russia, South Africa, China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia as well as in Czech Republic.

Main strategic target is specialization in "core business" areas, consolidation, effective distribution and use of long-term experiences and know-how in segments of Process Automation, Information Systems for Health Insurance Companies, Data Warehouses, Management Information Systems, Telecommunication, Banking and Logistic. The Company is going to become a strategic partner or supplier for middle-term and long term projects in higher mentioned segments.

Health Insurance – the large database applications for the health insurance companies in Czech Republic, covering receiving, billing and expensing parts, includes realization of the management information system and data warehouse. We are implementing strategic IS for VZP (General Health Insurance Company), which has 7.5 millions clients and database has the size of 10 TB. All information about client’s health care service costs is stored here. The ORACLE database and developing tools are used.

Industrial Automation – in the field of process automation PIKE offers more than 15 years of experiences that covers complex “turn key” solutions of information and control systems for metallurgical industry, food-processing industry, financial sector and telecommunications. It concerns analysis, design, development, implementation, commissioning and support. The scope of service is in the vertical way from base automation (PLC), trough control part (material tracking, computing setup values, and optimization of technological processes using neural networks) to planning part. The SCADA systems are using for the realization of HMI over all levels.

Business Intelligence – analysis, design, implementation and support for management information system (MIS) i.e. data-warehouse, data mining and ad-hoc query. The Oracle OLAP technology is used. The data-warehouses are relational or/and multidimensional. The Company invested to development of own technological products allowing the implementations of MIS solutions for various purposes, e.g. human resources, DRG - cost efficiency related with health care services, production and accounting.

Business Integration - since year 2003 PIKE ELECTRONIC is TIBCO partner in the field of enterprise integration. The Company has 25 TIBCO educated and certified Consultants with deep knowledge of TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO Business Event, TIBCO Rendezvous, TIBCO Designer, TIBCO iProcess, TIBCO Hawk, SOAP, EMS, BPM. PIKE’s consultants work for customers as developers, architects, administrators and operation maintenance. Besides Tibco the Company PIKE cooperates with PRIMA SOLUTIONS the Company that provides SOA solution for health insurance companies.

Logistics – the complete application for logistic companies, from barcode scanning, over complete package tracking and maintenance, to accounting and reporting with references from companies e.g. DHL and Gondrand.

Finance - PIKE realizes projects based on J2EE and .NET enterprise technologies for the biggest commercial banks in the Czech Republic. Since 2004, PIKE has been realizing with Accenture CZ (as the vendor) project of Direct banking for Czech Savings bank, 2nd biggest commercial bank in the Czech republic with 3 millions clients. Project includes two portals – Servis24 for retail banking (www.servis24.cz) and Business24 (www.business24.cz) for corporate clients, both based on J2EE technologies. PIKE also realized Relational Data Warehouse of GE Capital Bank CZ, with the main supplier Oracle Czech. As services, PIKE also provided consulting services for Union bank concerning IT organization and management.

Telecommunication - Since 2003, the Company has established Partial Agreements with mobile network providers Telefónica O2 (previously Eurotel) and Vodafone (previously Oskar) for application packages distribution and services providing in software development area. The Company has realized MMS Bridge and CBM (Cell Broadcast Management) projects – software application for distribution information, sponsored and commercial messages to mobile devices. Vodafone asked for module for a cellular net infrastructure maintenance, automatically communication interface and acceptance process module for a new transmitter construction and existing transmitters maintenance (including installed technologies). The Company realized conversion of pre-paid cell phone cards logic to TIBCO environment in cooperation with Hewllett-Packard.
In 2005, PIKE won the tender for outsourcing of development services for T-Mobile Czech Republic. Since that time there are involved up to 20 consultants providing analytic, development and support services for domains of EAI (TIBCO platform) and BI (Ab Initio platform). Scope of the cooperation has been more than 3500 man-days so far.

Opensource solutions for government - PIKE uses wide variety of J2EE technologies, some of them developed or customized by us. PIKE heavily uses in projects also technologies, which have grown from Open Source and now represent enterprise standards, as is Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Spring, Struts, or Hibernate. During 2006, PIKE realized two projects for German government institutions – "Election and EU Contact Management System" for City of Stuttgart, and "CRM and Order Processing Solution" for Agency for Geoinformation in Munich, both with German partner Fichtner Consulting.
